- Act 2 (The confrontation) = The longest act out of all 3 where the protagonist faces a series of obstacles and challenges separated into two point where the protagonist will show progress in the first point and faces complication in the second usually ending the act with a significant setback that causes the protagonist to rethink.
- Act 3 (The resolution) = The protagonist attempting to overcome the final challenge until the story reaches it's climax, the most tense and dramatic moment of the story. Until finally the story reaches the resolution (denouement) tying all loose ends and concluding the protagonist journey.

LECTURE 4
Production Stages :
- Pre-Production = The planning stage where all the necessary preparations are made before filming begins (Script, Storyboards, Actors, Locations, Designs and Crew Members).
- Production = The actual filming takes place. The production team will work together to capture all the footage needed for the film, using the plans and preparations made during pre-production as a guide.
- Post-Production = The footage is edited and assembled into a final product (Cutting and Arranging Scenes, Music and Sound Effects, Color Grading, and Visual Effects).
LECTURE 5
Mise en Scene (Placing on Stage) = The overall visual arrangement and presentation of a scene.
Key components :
- Physical Space: The location where the story took place.

Color Wheel -> A visual tool mapping hues in a circle, used to create harmonious color schemes like complementary, analogous, triadic, and tetradic. Types of Schemes:
- Monochromatic: Various tones of a single color.
- Analogous: Neighboring colors on the wheel.
- Complementary: Opposing colors on the wheel.
- Triadic: Three evenly spaced colors forming a triangle like shape on the color wheel.

A. Doritos and Mints Commercial Arrangement
In our first offline class, we were introduced to Adobe Premiere Pro and were tasked to arrange the scrambled Doritos and Mint Commercial.
The mint one is simple enough as it is sorted nicely and was named based on the scene arrangement. So all I had to do was just put everything in based on the name.

The Doritos one was a bit tricky since it was more jumbled. I tried to arranged it by myself by watching all of the clips and deciding which parts should go first but it didn't go so well and I had to search for the original video. In which I realized that I only had around 3 clips that needs to be rearrange and after that I'm done with this exercise.

B. Shooting Exercise 1
In our second week, we were given another exercise of camera placement shooting. Here's the list :
- Low angle wide shot
- Eye level medium wide shot
- Frontal medium shot
- Side angle medium shot
- 3/4 angle medium close up shot
- Frontal medium close up shot
- Close up shot
- Extreme close up shot
Here my friends took mine and I took theirs. After the shooting was finished, we asked our lecturer for feedback and learned that we had too much head space in the video and had to retake most of it but overall it was not hard at all. After the shooting was finished I compiled all of them into one with description of each shot in their corresponding shots.

C. Lalin Editing Practice
We were given another task of arranging the remake of Lalin. The files were already given through G-Drive and the original remake video is also there for reference.
I just needed to crop the beginning and end of each clips and arrange them accordingly. I then added the chat bubbles and used effect controls to give an opacity animation to create the chat disappearing animation.

- Deep shot
- Tight M.S. side angle
- Over shoulder shot 1
- Over shoulder shot 2 (Reverse over shoulder shot)
- Tight medium shot
The video was mostly taken by my friends with the other groupmate being models for the video. Then one of my other group mate assembled all the shots into one video along with their corresponding shots' name.

G. VFX Exercise
To help our final project, we had one last exercise. After being shown an example and tutorial video, I began to follow all the steps from using the roto brush tool and using key light effect to erase a green screen. Arranging all of the shots to make the VFX video shown in the tutorial. I also added an adjustment layer for color grading as well as some other effect like sound effect and red screen to create a Minecraft like impact effect.
H. Quiz Report

| Fig 8. Quiz Report (Week 15 | 28/07/25) |
Week 1 - I mixed up wide shot with extreme wide shot hence the loss of 2 points
Week 2 - I had the wrong idea about the inciting incident, I thought it was only to establish the world but it turns out to also establish the problem, causing me to once again lose 2 points.
Week 3 - All Good
Week 4 - I was debating on pre-production and production for the last question but went with pre-production because I thought it was more challenging to prepare for production which proved to be the wrong assumption.
Week 5 - All Good
Week 6 - I was a bit surprised but it turns out it's because the correct answer was not set hence no right answer.
Reflections
There were a lot of exercises in this module which was very helpful in my opinion, I just dislike the documenting process since I don't really know what to document for the exercise and the amount of exercise didn't really help. Overall the exercises were simple to do and was a nice introduction to each tasks we had to do while also helping us prepare for the projects that we had to do. Also a very helpful tasks without the burden of complexity as the exercises were prepared throughly.
